Community Benefits

First and foremost the Expansion will create jobs, increase tax revenue, and maintain lower City disposal costs, saving taxpayers money.

  • We are committed to helping to achieve the State of Tennessee’s goal of diverting 25% of construction debris from other types of landfills.

  • The Frayser Recycling facility is the most centrally located landfill of its type, in the City of Memphis, with easy access to I-240. This saves taxpayers money by avoiding long hauling and disposal costs associated with other types of landfills.

  • Frayser Recycling provides a convenient and affordable alternative for small construction contractors who otherwise may dispose of construction materials by dumping such materials on roadsides to be picked up later by the City at a cost of taxpayers.

But it doesn’t stop there!

When the site is finished it will be covered in 2.5 feet of soil, seeded, and maintained for two years. The property will then be available for use by the future generations of our community.

After the 30 acres of the 60 acre facility has been filled, all 60 acres will be given to the community.

We have taken great care to make sure that the land will be suitable for multiple uses, both recreational and commercial.

Everything goes back to the community!

We are also working on a CBA.

A Community Benefits Agreement

This is a legal contract between a developer and the community members. It will contain specific commitments that will be delivered as the project moves forward.

More to come on what the particulars of this agreement will be.
